An excellent first half performance, which saw us dominate, what looked a poor West Ham side. We should have been at least three up at half time, with Sa virtually a spectator. There were a few worries when we dither about with the ball at the back, but apart from a rasping freekick from Ward -Prowse, which sailed over the Hammers were toothless.

You knew it would change in the second half with Potter making several changes. The second half started much like the first, in that much of the play was in front of the North Bank. We defended well with the occasional break out, but as the game wore on it was clear that the Internationals, with all the travel, was having an effect on our players.

Andre and Ait-Nouri were replaced and several others were suffering from fatigue. The visitors had a few chances to grab a result but we also had a great chance to put the game to bed in injury time.

At times the game was ill tempered, with several square ups, and the yellow card made a number of appearances out of the pocket of Mr Harrington. The same referee who disallowed Max Kilmans headed goal against West Ham last season.

Not Toti's best performance, too many times he was caught trying to dribble the ball out of our penalty area. Having said that he is allowed one poor game as he has been a standout this season. Great to see that Joao Gomes has signed a new five year deal. And a word for Mat Doherty, he really has settled into his role in the back three.
