Scenes of europhia erupted at a packed out Valley after the Add1cks beat Wycombe. Matty Godden sent the fans into rapture after scoring the winning goal nine minutes before full time.
This Charlton side will now be on their way to Wembley where they face Leyton Orient in the League One play-off final on Sunday May 25th.
For this fixture Thierry Small replaced Tennai Watson and Alex Gilbert came on for the injured Luke Berry. The first half was very tight affair with the Addicks having the better chances. Lloyd Jones came very close from a Matty Godden cross but was unable to direct his header into the net.
In the 2nd half Gilbert saw a shot blocked and Gillesphey put in a command performance to ensure Wycombe striker Richard Kone shot wide. It's also worth praising Kayne Ramsay whose blocks kept out both Wycombe's Garath McCleary and Xavier Simons efforts nullifying their goal threat and even helping the Add1cks keep a clean sheet.
Nine minutes before full-time Gillesphey sent in a diagonal ball met by Lloyd Jones that bounced in front of Matty Godden who used his sniffer instinct to tap the ball into the back of the net from three yards out.
The Add1cks comfortably saw the game out winning 1-0 on aggregate to book their place in the final against Leyton Orient. Up the Add1cks. We wish them every success on Sunday May 25th at Wembley.
