Yet, through no fault of the manger, the squad that finished this season is not a patch on what he had to work with going into the season.
If Maynard is sacked then so be it, but to lay blame with a manager that has had his best assets sold and replaced with players not even close to that quality, is naive and not seeing the bigger picture.
I accept we?re a buying and selling club, but this season has been one of selling. If the expectation level doesn?t shift with selling our best players, then any manager is going to fail.
