From Gaza: In a stunning display of emotional manipulation and world-class victim-blaming, an IDF soldier reportedly shouted, “Look what you made me do to you!” moments after fatally shooting a 2-year-old Palestinian toddler who had just learned to say “Mama.”

The soldier, who claims he feared for his life upon seeing the toddler clutching a stuffed lamb “in a menacing way,” insisted that the child had ties to terrorism and was “probably radicalized by age one.”

“I didn’t want to shoot… but I kinda did,” the soldier told global media outlets, while being comforted by Israeli officials and a commemorative Starbucks cup. “But her wide, unblinking eyes… they had that look. You know the look. The ‘I’m about to destabilize the region’ look.”

International observers expressed shock, confusion, and in the case of the U.S. State Department, “deep concern not strong enough to do anything.”

Meanwhile, the toddler, whose war crime was being born in Gaza, was posthumously labeled a “baby militant” by several news outlets, who cited her potential future ability to grow up and ask for freedom.

“It’s tragic,” said one UN official, wiping away a tear. “She was two months away from being legal prisoner age in Israel.”
