to me, the outcome was obvious. we don`t score enough goals(and keep enough clean sheets) to finish sides off, even if territorially we dominate.

that`s where i much MUCH prefered sam as our manager. we could have only 40 percent possestion in games, yet still comfortably win.

possesion, shumession. means fck all. the sooner bowyer wakes up to that fact, the better the team we`ll be for it.

I have read several match-reports already, and it seems this game followed a recurring recent pattern: Rovers dominant for an hour, but failing to close the game out; half an hour of falling back on defence, but allowing an opposition goal; a soft penalty; late chances missed.
According to both the BBC and The Guardian, we had 58% possession and twice as many attempts on goal as Barnsley.
We seem to be almost clicking, but not quite. I still think greater consistency won't come until next season.
I am quite encouraged by the signing of Dabo. When he and Evans are both available, our midfield should certainly be more dynamic.

Slightly rose-tinted spectacles, I think, JR/Saxo. Sam's win-record at Rovers was 36%. I'm not saying that's terrible, given the Club's size and resources, but you are sometimes guilty of overestimating Sam's abilities and success-rate.
