The villain of the Harry Potter films is called Valdermort. Shelvey's a dead-ringer.[/quote]

    Cheers Palerider.

Every footy fan has at least one irrational hatred of another teams player. Shelvey's is one of mine.

I quite like him actually. He was a Hammers fan as a kid and takes the stick about his looks well.

No point in appealing as far as I am concerned. His swung his arm around and at bet that was reckless. There is little chance of success in my opinion.

They have comfirmed that they will appeal and rightly so. Was one of the softest red cards seen.

No intent at all from Carroll.
Swung his arms around to keep his balance.
Caught Chico on the top of the head and not in the face like Chico tried to pretend.
Was a foul to West Ham in the first place and Webb had indicated that.
Webb did not even see it clearly, he took the advice of the linesman.

All the experts and pundits and even the Swansea manager himself have said it was never a red card.

Even on some of the swansea forums thier fans are saying it was harsh and Chico is a digrace.

Very high chance it will be overturned. Would be a total joke if it is not.

I agree, I would expect an additional game for a frivolous appeal.

If Carroll had have kept his cool I'm quite sure Flores would have been carded.

    Frivolous????

Carroll was fouled and in no way meant to to do that to Chico.

Frivolous would indidcate that it was about as clear a red card as you can get. No one but no one could look at that and say it was anything other than unintentional.

You can't blame Swansea for that. There is only one person to blame for it, the players know it, Laudrup himself said it. Having said that, they were f ucking pleased to see him go

I thought Carroll lost his temper and lashed out albeit after provocation, if two out of the three man panel agree with me it will be deemed frivolous.

3 more pundits/ex players all saying it was never a red card. Lineker, Hansen and Murphy.

    Aswell as the commentator Wilson.

Going to be very hard for the panel to not overturn this.
