Now you're straying into 'cruel and unusual punishment' territory.

I think you have to do all 5 tbh. you can punish retrospectively and by christ you should. But refs still need to be better at getting it right on the field. Flat out costing teams points at the end of the day... costing teams points is costing team money so league would be every bit JUSTIFIED in fining the Club along with banning players.

I'd say you have to be realistic, what does a team have to do right now to get a points deduction? Go into administration? Crowd Violence?

And you're suggesting that diving be put into that category?

Offenders should be banned and retrospective punishments should be brought in.[/quote]

    Agreed

Would love to get your thoughts on here or in the comment box. Wont post on here again as I know the rules. Cheers.
Firstly for when the referee see's the incident... instruct them to be FAR tougher than they currently are. For example... even if Webb thought that Carroll's foul was a red, he must have seen that Flores deserved a yellow.
And if the refs fail to act (either because they didn't see or they're too stupid)... a retrospective and strict review system needs to be in place. Hit the cheats with lengthy bans.

It will instantly become an activity that's not worth the risk. And the managers will start really getting on thei

everything thats wrong with the modern game imo, the ref stands by his 1863 rules book and the games suffers, this isn't just about our club but everywhere.

it really is that simple, isn't it? it doesn't take einstein to work out that a committee can be presented with all the evidence required to come up with an adequate decision.

the fa can spare people for the dubious goals panel, yet i find the problem of 'who actually scored the goal' a far less important issue than this toxic diving culture that is being introduced from predominantly foreign players.

    it's time to act.

Why doesn't some of this country's "enlightened" journalists wait outside The F.As HQ and put this very simple question straight to the creaky suits as they come out??
"Why IS there NO retrospective action taken for cheating... the blight of the modern game??. What ARE the obstacles??"

Because footballing journalism is every bit a shyte as officialdom in this country. Journos prefer to hang around car-parks of training grounds or night-clubs to pick up some juicy, non-important gossip.

Wa-nkers and c-unts the lot of em !
