Stevo, I was there yesterday with a couple of mates and one of their son's and his mate. They're only 15 but have been to a lot of away games and it was fantastic seeing them have such a good day out with the right result.
I'm sure they'll be travelling with their own mates soon but at least they're pretty savvy so should stay out of trouble.

I had a superb day yesterday and I'm an old c unt so I can only imagine how buzzing your boy was!

    Hello Steve
At that age it really depends on how mature they are for their age. The fact that he went on a coach, with his mate sounds alright to me. I take it he got back OK?

Good post, Steve. Glad your boy and his mate had a good day out

Yesterday was my 4th visit to Villa Park and the first time I've seen us win there. Really enjoyed myself and thought our fans were on top form.

    Onwards and upwards.

    Thanks lads

Yes he's a level headed lad and he got back ok..he loved every minute of it.hes been away with me a few times and we have our season tickets in the sir trev stand along with my youngest girl..

My first time was at villa when we got promoted from the old div1 and then we went unbeaten for about 13 games I think...we lost 3-2 from memory and we cheated the lads off...great days

Yes a nice post but it just makes you realise how time have changed...and not always for the better.
My first trip to the Old Den was in 1957 as a 7 year old kid. It was my neighbour's son who took me to the game.He was the ripe old age of...13!The following season I went to my first away match at Rochdale with the same neighbour's son. Admitedly it was with the supporters club, but even so, there were no adults really looking after us.
I don't think our respective parents were irresponsible but today it would be inconceivable for me or anybody else that I know to allow the same expedition for kids that age.
Even now when one of my boys goes to see a PSG match my last recommendation is always "Don't f,uck about and be carefull" and they are in their 30s!!
Again nice post...just a shame he chose the wrong club.
