    D_D's Player Ratings vs. QPR

What a result, from the first half play to the battling clean sheet.

    The ratings:

Grant 8- Dominant from crosses and held Barton's shot very well. He's playing really well at the moment, this is what Clough thought he'd signed!

Wisdom 8- Kept their left side quiet, and bar a few poor passes, he played well going forward too.

Keogh 9 MOTM- A superb performance today, completely dominant, confident and efficient. That was the best centre-back performance I've seen in a long time.

Buxton 9 MOTM- Every bit as dominant as Keogh. The pairing was as solid as it's every been, and they deserve a joint MOTM. Neither Johnson, Doyle, or Maiga had a sniff. Jake won every header, and has proven himslef against some of the league's better strikers.

Forsyth 8- Brilliant at the back like the rest of the defence, but slightly wasteful going forward. Still, that wasn't an issue. He did very well considering he faced a fresh Hoilet second half.

Eustace 8- He scored a nice looping header, and genera

An 8 for Grant? I don't know what else he could've done.

I think you could swap Bryson's and Hughes' score around, although putting them both at a 6 wouldn't be too inaccurate.

I thought Bamford played well going forward, but defensively was a liability. Gave away a couple of free kicks and a couple of sloppy passes, leading to the only times in the first half where we were really under pressure. Needs to up his all round game I reckon.

Overall what heart out players showed. Technically QPR were better than us and kept the ball better, but our heart and character came through. With the team we have ATM we wouldn't last 5 minutes in the prem, but we're heading in the right direction.

    Great result

In the main I agree with your ratings...however I would give them all a ten purely for the fact that they got to Barton and riled him so much.

    Rams Ratings:

Don't normally do this as D-D's ratings are an institution on this board. But here goes:

    Grant -8
Coolness personified tonight. Excellent handling and really gave our back 4 the platform to defend so well. Quick distribution but best of all was his work in the air. His punches, catching and concentration were flawless. Only had two real saves to make but he made them look easy.

    Wisdom - 7
Strong in the tackle and kept his concentration and shape extremely well. Gave the ball away a few times needlessly which undid otherwise some outstanding defending. Put some useful crosses in too.

    Buxton: 9
Warrior like performance from Buxton. Hugely impressive defensive display. Looked far more agile and comfortable on the ball than Dunne. A real nuisance in the QPR penalty area too.

    Keogh: 9
Towering defensive header after towering defensive header. Deservedly won man of the match. Back to his defensive best.

    Forsyth: 9 MOTM
He gets a lot of flack but I thought his all r

Eustace 8- He scored a nice looping header, and generally won all of his tackles in the midfield. His long passing was sometimes wayward, but some of his passes were very good. He dived in too early a couple of times, leading to QPR attacks, but generally, he was imperious. Even Angry will have to pay him some credit today, no?

D_D My answer is NO! You have highlighted well his flaws in you comment above, yet you give him 8.. He put a nice ball into Bamford early though but the rest was average.. His decision making is poor and his long balls (Often his first option) are pony.
Yes he gets his body in the way but is often caught out of position.

You give him one less point than Keogh and Buxton, who had blinders last night.

Spot on concerning the Hughes score, he had a very poor game, gave the ball away too many times and didn't create much.

You are right about the Premiership, would be great to get there again but wouldn't fancy the chances of t

Hughes' weight of pass was completely off last night. Was glad he was subbed in the end. The amount of break-aways we could of had if he had just got the pass right - they weren't even hard passes.

Would like to see Hendrick come in at Wednesday,

clearly I watched a different game to most of you last night as I thought despite ward's positive running he was absolutely cack again. go back and watch the first half and count how many times he ****ed up and gave the ball away - I think I counted 9. I thought ewsie has a good game! I'm shocked you guys didn't. anyways on with the ratings

Grant 8: one of his most reassuring games in a rams shirt. commanded his box well. good save from the header in first half.

Wisdom 7: generally a good game but a few passes were off and nearly cost us a goal in the second half when he got done.

Buckenbaur 9: dealt with everything very well. I never thought I'd say he's now a top championship centre half!

Keogh 9: excellent game from him. made some crucial last ditch headers in the box. maiga caused him a few problems in the air but other than that was terrific.

Forsyth 9: - MOM. what a performance. did absolutely everything defensively. snuffed them out all game. this is what mac didn't get an

I'm astounded people are giving hughes anything above a 5.

He was cack. Rightfully subbed. Getting really concerned at his form. Most corners went straight into Greens hand, and the one that didn't Green should have caught.

Forsyth though! What a ****ing improvement - game after game. He's quick, tall, great aeial ability...shame he can't dribble without over running it, but then i can see an imrovement the size of Bucko coming.
