We'll from two neutrals that went yesterday Russell was the stand out player by a mile apparently even if he needs to improve the final ball!!!

How can we keep a clean sheet against a potentially dangerous team and two of our defenders get a 4 and a 5. Surely the fact we kept a clean sheet should warrant at least a minimum of 6 for any defender. OK Keogh nearly put through his own net but we still kept a clean sheet which is a collective effort, with every man doing their job.

Looks like they shared the general opinion then!

Described Hughes as ...'steady' but nothing special. Maybe he is when not wearing rose tinted glasses?

beardy I am not entirely sure how we kept a clean sheet TBH? - view external link

Russell had a good game but he has a really bad habit of thinking the job is done when he beats a player and being too casual. Numerous occasions in great positions yesterday he slowed down to look up and got tackled when he thought he was clear. Bournemouth defended very well though, well organised.

yh i thought he played well but sometimes when he had the ball he seemed like forrest gump, are we going to have to all get signs that read STOP for him. It was head down and ruuuuuuuuuun, even if it took him to a corner flag. He needs to shoot sometimes too, after seeing his goals up in scotland i was amazed on saturday by how scared he seemed to let one fly. Great potential for him and he had a decent game but he can improve massively im sure.

    Oh god this is weird!

    I agree ...

You Russels build up was good but seemed to take his footoff at the last minute every time! I've seen him pre and early season not do that so its there!
