Burnly were a wee bit lucky

I was at burnly and the first half was shocking. I believe if we were able to field a full strenth side like this it would have been a different story
    Darlow
    lascells Willson Hobbs Licah

    Paterson Lansbury Vaun Read

    Mackie Cox

and remember our reserves did win the second
    half
    1-0
I was sitting high up on the half way line with the Burnly regulars and heard someone say we are lucky to catch them with so many injuries. He must have been a propper fan and a realist. Now I am not saying Burnly are not a good team, they are one of the best in the championship and we made them look brilliant in the first half. So chin up lads we will be there at the end,
PS.. lets see how the do against Derby

    ha ha ha ha ha

well done for winning the second half when the game was lost

Burnley tore you a new one in the first half and took the foot off in the second.

There was no luck involved they were just the better side by a long way

should of would of could of been a different story. Unfortunately it wasnt. They only should of was that burnley should have been more than three up at half time

Going 0-3 down at half-time no matter the scope of the injuries, is plainly inexcusable. I doubt the relegation threatened sides surrender the game in such fashion after half an hour or so.

But 1 bad result is no reason to get all doom and gloomy. There's plenty of football left and if we can secure the play-off spot, get the players back from injury, we stand a chance of doing something.

Maybe like our escape from League 1, a late surge and some luck on the last day, saw us do the improbable. Football has a funny way of repeating itself every now and then. Maybe Lady Luck might smile on us after all!

It does have a way of repeating itself and I really hope you are right.
When were leaving the Leicester game in November the atmosphere felt just like it did after the West Brom game at the Hawthorns.
I hope it doesn't end like that season did.

Our Achilles Heels is that when we finally lose a winning or unbeaten streak, we suddenly forget what we had done in those games. Uncertainty, hesitancy and a loss of belief creep in.

Look at last season, we flew into 6 straights wins when Billy took over, we had momentum and belief. Then we drew, followed by another then a defeat, and after that we could never seem to play in the same fashion or aplomb as we did in those 6 ties.

Look at the the top 3 - all have 1 thing in common some more than the others, after each draw or loss, they bounce back and start winning consecutive games or go on a run winning say 3 out of 4 (1 draw) or 4 out of 5.

We must do the same and start with Wigan. I still say the Barnsley game is more crucial - this is a game we know we can win. It was at home to Barnsley last season that we failed to win and it turned out to be the reason we lost the play-off spot. Had we won that, we would have faced Leicester in the last game already assured of 6th place.
