    re: Nigel having a "DIG"???

[quote="Rattea"]No Clough has four years sorting out the mess left by previous management. Balancing the books, having to get rid of his best players and scour the lower divisions for affordable replacements and rebuild a youth policy from the bottom up that had been ripped out.

This year he said he was happy with the squad and felt we had a chance of delivering. He was got rid of when a run of fixture meant he had played most of the top six sides. His successor has not 'so far' been able to match the performances or results against the same opposition.

Now Clough has taken league one almost relegation certs to playoff hopefuls and FA Cup semi finalists having beaten two premier league teams and our closest rivals on the way!

Just looking at the FACTs alone you could say Four/five months ago someone made a poor and premature error of judgement and maybe if patience and loyalty had been returned we may have been sitting in a better position than we are n

If I was in the same position as Nigel I would have a dig as well. I was not against his sacking but he did bring in some good players.
It is only human nature to want to stick it up anyone who ends up sacking you.
Good Luck Nigel. I am sure when he comes back to Derby in the future he will want so badly to win.
