Whose position would you rather be in?

    Us or Burnley?

This may seem like a stupid question on the surface, but give it some thought.

What we play is an attractive brand of passing football (admittidley it's not been as exciting recently), history suggests that teams that go up with this philosophy do very well (Swansea, Southampton, even Blackpool took it to the final day). Teams that go up with Burnley's playing style (hard working, run the channels) tend to come straight back down (Cardiff, Reading, us) unless an absolute fortune is spent well (Hull, West Ham, Newcastle, Stoke). It would appear Burnley don't have much to spend.

McClaren has better contacts transfer wise but his transfers have been patchy over the years, Dyche being a bit of an unknown quantity when money is available, so there's no point to be made really regarding transfers.

So, we play the more entertaining football and have a higher chance of staying up should we get there, whereas Burnley have a far greater chance of going up, playing the percen

Burnleys. They're bang on top 2. And as for attractiveness? They play good stuff, nothing boring, no chance. We can play the ball around but we haven't scored in 3 games, I wouldn't call that attractive. Dyche is raw, and his philosophy is hard work and fitness, no big time Charlie's at Burnley, which works in their favour. McClaren is a better manager, proven by his trophies, but Dyche is one of the best English managerial prospects, although I don't think his qualities will be as well suited to the prem as this league

If they go up, good luck to them. They did it in the right way. Their net spend this season is a minus, unlike every other side in the top six minus ourselfs. I do think they'd strugfle, but even if they do come down the parachute payments will help them to push on in the championship.

In Burnleys position everytime! I dont see how it can be said we ahve a superior squad to them, i think both sides would need major surgery to survive in the top flight.
