No one would drop Martin to put in Hughes but he is a very useful player to bring on in the second half particularly is you need a goal unfortunately not like Samon. He would have been also very useful to bring on some our young players

since steve mac came in we've been winning the vast majority of the games when sammon came on and he's done exactly the job that's been required of him, chase lost causes and hustle defenders. apart from Watford of course when he won us the game.

I can't see how myself, Fester are where they are due to the money they have spent and the strength in depth of their squad, not due to having signed Philips. McClaren signed Bamford who to date has had a better return for much less money.

Personally glad we dont sign expensive veterans anymore!
