    This weeks letter from Sam

    Dear ,

We made some changes for the match against Stoke City, with Mo Diame and Antonio Nocerino coming into midfield and Andy Carroll called back in up front.

The hardest decision of them all, though, was bringing in Winston Reid for James Collins, who had done magnificently during our recent run of excellent results.

Based on the second-half play, I thought if anyone was going to score at 1-1, it would be us but then we switched off defensively and paid a high price. Our defending let us down, I think that if our defending hadna??t let us down as badly as it did we would have got a point.

It was great to see Andy Carroll play 80 minutes and score his first of the season. He causes the opposition all sorts of problems and is one of the best headers of the ball youa??ll find, which he showed on Saturday. Not only did he head the ball in the net, but some of the biggest defenders in the game in the Stoke side just couldna??t cope.

Our next game against Manchester United on Satu

    Dear Sam

Thank you once again for writing to me. I am blessed.

Whatever points total you think we need I'm sure we'll achieve as you know everything. In fact I was going to ask if you know who'll win the Grand National.

I think that it's you who should be leading England this summer, not Woy, as he's not fit to tie-up your numbers 11's as a manager.

I anticipate continued success with yet another escape from relagation and a gallant cup run resulting in glorious failure at Torquay United.

I do look forward to your correspondence.

    Yours

    Mr.P.Rider

That's what stood out for me.

It's tough though because Reid is clearly the better player and will probably leave if he doesn't get back in the team but Collins has formed such an effective partnership with Tomkins.

As has been said so many times before Jimbo... whether you like it, hate it or are a fence-sitter on the idea... the most potent and powerful way that fans can influence decisions at football clubs is when they speak out through their ar-ses (pun intended) and simply stop sticking bums on seats.

Which is exactly what myself and many others are going to do in 2 years time when we move to the OS.

Only reason at present for renewing (asuming Sam remains in charge) for the next two seasons is simply to be there for the remainder of West Ham United's time at the great Boleyn Stadium.

After that i will become an armchair fan who wont care anywhere near as much what happens or who will be charge.

Point is Tone whoever is in charge, whoever the owners are and whatever league we are in there is just 2 more season left of West Ham United at the Boleyn.

I want to be there regardless. Staying away is not an option for many of us because that will be it. Just 2 more years.

I want to make the most of every remaining game because there is going to be less than 50 left at our great stadium/home.

My decision not to go to the OS has nothing to do with trying to prove a point. I just dont want to go there.
