If offered I'd take a 1-0 defeat now.

As for the game... 4-0 Derby.

There are not that many still going from the 70s/80s that remember the intensity then and speaking to younger fans they just dilike them ... well because they are our rivals ... and many dont have a reason behind it like we used to.

I think Ramondo said last season at home how flat it was with both sets of fans. And many said away it was a bit like after the lord majors show away after the ten man game.

Fester used to be big rivals in the 80s/90s but now that has disappeared too!

Its always goin to be a game of interest but is it what it was?
The game at the ****ty Ground earlier this season was a monumental one, and one that was critical to our success so far this season, in that it saw us finally get rid of a manager who was dragging us back like a large anchor stuck several feet deep in silt.

So I don't think we can downplay its importance, even if perhaps the intensity (and physic

I think the rivalry remains. All rivalries peak and trough a little (except maybe Old Firm) and over the past 15-20 there has probably been more troughs due to dif divisions, and dead rubbers of games. BD swimming the Trent has spiced things up a little, as did NC giving him a dead leg

When I started going to watch the Rams (1991), Fester were more of an irritation to me as we battled it out for promotion, and ultimately got shafted at Wembley by their team of ****in farm hands, but I was aware opf the Forest rivalry, and the first Derby v Forest I went to was the 0-2 home defeat at the BBG when Gary Charles scored an OG. Was in tears after that one, and haven't needed any motivation to hate them since (tho they give plenty of ammo!)

I think for younger fans, the Atwell game will prob have induced a similar feeling!

I for one am pleased that the rivalry is now pitch based, and that fans can have a heated rivalry, hate each other with a passion, but it stays in the ground, and

Most of the violence has gone thank ****. I think the hate is still there but its not going to be unveiled by some moron hitting another. As ratty says the reasons for dislikng them are unclear nowadays, its probably just passed down father to son.

Davies seems to have instilled a sense of 'not good enough' into the minds of what remains of our squad and it's spreading to the terraces.
I expect a Derby win and if things carry on like the last few weeks we will not make the top six either.

would you be confident if your back 4 was out along with Hughes, Hendrick and Bryson facing a full strength Forest team?

(Although it's slightly different as your strength is your goalscoring)

Well Reidy confirmed out for 3 weeks. FFS it's a waste of time us bringing over the stiffs to be embarrassed on sky tv.
