    Forest and Pearce

According to Sky Sports Forest have re-opened talks with Stuart Pearce.

Might give them a shot in the arm in the short term?

You have to ask, what's made him change his mind on his "personal reasons"?

Did Fawaz turn up at his door with a wheelbarrow full of cash and a puppy dog look on his face?

I suspect Ambassador McGovern has been at work with certain assurances from Mr Fawaz about who picks the team, whose ball it is, what colour the money is and so on.

I hope this is true. Yet another failure of a manager...

Probably would be a big shot in the arm.

The reasons behind it (if it's true)? Well, nobody else seems to want it, they are running out of options.

It's clear no self respecting manager wants the job, so it's a case of trying to get the one guy that would have run through a brick wall for the club as a player.

And that's why short term it could be a masterstroke.

At this stage in the season a certain amount of adrenaline will push a team over the line into that final spot.

Looks like whichever team can get four wins out of remaining seven games will clinch it?

    And once in the play-offs...
