    Selection dilemma

Interesting dilemma for Steve now - Bryson , Thorne & Martin have become so pivotal to us that there is a strong argument for wrapping them up in the proverbial cotton wool for the play offs. The difficulty is that we now have no alternative for Chris Martin (Connor Salmon proves this in his occasional 'cameos') so do you risk resting Martin and him potentially going off the boil or do you continue to play him and risk injury.

I think we are now certainties for the play offs and it is impossible to determine who you end up playing so I think the critical decsion now is how best to utilise the critical players between now and the play offs.

I dont understand the suspension rules at the moment - is there a chance that Thorne will get suspended if gets another booking?

This Saturday is the last day when bookings count towards suspensions.

e need a win on Saturday to be sure of a palce, but I would hazard guess that McClaren wont tinker too much, surely a good run of form between now and the play offs will do wonders for team spirit and send a message to other teams, whereas tinkering with the squad would do the opposite?

I agree that momentum going into the play offs is often the deciding factor but i do worry about how important Chris Martin is to our style of play so should we attempt to manage his involvement over the lead-up to the playoffs.

Can you imagine the three game play off with a certain Connor Sammon as our target man...wake up in a cold sweat time!

Actually a win on Saturday will not make sure of a place - we need 2 wins for mathematical certainty, or probably a win and a draw given our goal difference advantage over the class of 61.

However a win on Saturday means we finish above the dogs with mathematical certainty.

Don't change anything... Strikers need to play, what good does resting them do?
    Nothing, nada, zilch.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
    Leave well alone.
Have I made myself clear on this issue?
