You are right Mickleover... also you have to consider that Steve Mac has broken the record for the biggest ever crowd at the iPro Stadium at least twice.

As fro well done Nigel, maybe you ought to compare other managers at other clubs with similar resources??[/quote]

Well if you go 2 above us and 2 below us thats watford, huddesfield, millwall and charlton. Only watford can be said to have done significantly better, but they were a team of loans and god knows how much of a percentage they were paying for those wages.

Credit to Mac for taking us where we are now, i'd be interested to see where we are in that table now though.

And yes bear...bottom 6 wage bill was what i repeatedly said and swale repeatedly denied.Little wonder he is questioning the validity of the stats.[/q

We did also argue about buying players but a lot of the time it was simply about wages. Just a couple of weeks ago i had to bring you to task again as to quote you in relation to us having such a small wage bill you said "you don't buy it".

As for the million pound players, well we sold players to fund those didnt we (just like i also told you). As the stats above prove, look at our spend for last year, we made 800k. Another thing i was right about.

FAILDale has perfected walking backwards better than Michael Jackson on this.

He posted so much and the FACTs now prove him wrong Triz.

I hope that mod edit wasn't from you rat, coz the amount of threads you've diverted to clough being god and hughes being **** is a joke.

oh and MR - the rat is a classic wum. he posts what he does to get a response. he likes the controversy. we've all been where you are but eventually you'll learn to take him with a pinch of salt and ignore most of it. not so long ago triz was in that early stage...now look at the bromance blossom! :-P

One thing stands out to me amongst all the questions it raises. People talk about us being a big club and why do we not get snapped up ...

Well look at it from an investors point of view. We are middle of the road financially even tho we get big crowds. Now look ath Dirty Weeds! Their income low'ish debts and the potential there.

I hate to say it but on the basic evidence this really shows how we will always be very limited by funds (as Clough was) unless the business is grown! As an investor alone I would be lookingat Weeds as a good opportunity!
Actually, i think the evidence shows we are one of the bigger clubs. If you take off parachute payments, only 4 clubs that i scanned over have a bigger turnover when taking out parachute payments. Not sure what the "other" is for Bolton.
