I hope they win today. Fantastic scenes outside Anfield as the team coach arrived and a real expectation that the league title could be theirs.

I can think of 96 reasons why they should be crowned winners this season.

I think the difference, media wise, with the 96 and the fire is that there's never been any 'closure'...from the lying police to the slanderous 'sun' etc...that's surely why it's been so exposed, vilafied and discussed for 25 years.

As I said earlier I don't think the 2 necessarily need to be connected although I can understand why some would want to, especially with the timing.

Interesting we have gone down this path rather than say;
- Every one of those clubs had a new Manager this season but Liverpool probably had the biggest gap to bridge so here is one for the underdog.
OR
- Money spent. Would it be better if Liverpool won it because they haven't chucked the sheds load at it that Chelsea and Man City have?
