    Are we really mid table?

    Looks like we'll finish around 11th 42ish points,similar to last year,10th with 46.

I'll be told the table doesn't lie,but it seems a bit disingenuous to call ourselves mid table but with the top teams getting around 85 and the relegated teams barely getting 30, I think around 55/57 should be gained before we can give ourselves that accolade.

Seems a bit complacent to me..to kind of prove we have consolidated for the second year, rather than survived.

'Survived' is a good way of putting it Mike, it's not been a comfortable season. Southampton and Newcastle had 30 + points around Christmas time which is not enough to challenge the big boys means there's never any threat of relegation. Hughes has also done a brilliant job at Stoke and dramatically changed their style of football in less than a year.

My opinion is Sam was told to have a season all same same as last...he's achieved that by hook or by crook somehow.

We are just lucky that there are some really poor team performances from other clubs this time round...long may it continue.

Let's be honest, there's not really a "mid table" any more.

There's clubs with a realistic chance of winning a place in the CL. Then there are the clubs who are too good to be involved in a relegation scrap but will have to settle for the Europa League. And then there's the other 12 or 13, which obviously includes us, who are basically there to make up the numbers.

Whether HamsterCheeks can motivate, galvanise the team in our last five games remains to be seen.

We are six points behind Stoke, so remaining 11th seems the best we can achieve.

Arsenal away: Be nice to mess up Arsenals top four quest + london derby. Pride and bragging rights

Crystal Palace home: The race for 11th ?

West Brom away: Could send them down ?

Tottenham home: Beat them three times in a season ?

Man City away: Could affect the championship. We couldn't lose again to them...could we ??? I mean four-times in one season ???

No we can't lose four times in one season. Impossible. No chance. This will not facking-well happen. Still...

Fu(king hope not. Sooner we show ambition the better. What a limited outlook for this well funded club paying top wages to players and even more so the 'manager'. Hoping we can keep scraping by playing sh1t hoping sometime is sh1tter. That'll get Canary Wharf corporate into Stratford, Im sure. We need to demand more FFS

i thought exactly that Mike when i saw your title. Mid table is only an ants ball away from the drop zone and nothing i would honestly want to gloat about.

Results went our way, and had it been otherwise our mid table points would be a bit further down the league.

result-wise, i think we have done remarkably well considering the injury crisis concerning these players.
