    I don't think any Saints fan would want him to leave, but most can see reasons why he will.

    He won't be getting CL football here anytime soon, and his wages would at least double if he moved. We'd be quids in and ready to blood the next academy player through.

    Forget the romanticism of him staying and wish the lad luck when he goes.

    Luke Shaw's contribution yesterday was immense. His reading of the game for one so young is uncanny.
    Shame there was no end product to the good chances he created.
