Playing the race card this week is...Yaya

while yaya is no doubt a world class midfielder, if he think he's as good as messi and Ronaldo he's sadly mistaken.

there could be a wider point about technical skills though. most of the great African players of the recent era; yaya, drogba, eto are more about strength, power and pace. whilst being tremendously effective their style of play isn't necessarily as pleasing on the eye as some more latin styles.

I do wish this race card would stop being played though. I really don't think it helps the cause. - view external link

He certainly isnt in the top 2 or 3 bracket, however people tend to define Africans through their physical attributes rather then recognising there skills, as a rule. I think he may be hitting on a broader theme that has a bit of teeth tbh. It's unfortunate that these claims come after a large amount of race claims which bore no weight.

I think he is talking a load of b0llox. If he is good enough to be deemed a World class player it does not matter whether he is African, European or even if he came from Snottingham... he would get the recognition if he is actually good enough to be given that accolade

Just another player with a chip on his shoulder.
If he thinks he's in the same League as Ronny, Messi and Bale he needs his brain checking!
