In view of the fact that the original thread has been taken over by the eternal Triz v Burnley argument, I've restarted the original thread here.

So

We will never.know but we were still in the mix at the end of Easter which I'm sure no one would have thought after 9 games.

We may miss out by 2 points, we may by 14 depending on junk time games, but one thing is sure - 11 points from the first 9 games wrecked our prospects. 70 from the next 35 is promotion form, but even 92 from a full season might not have been enough.

Now I'm sure a plague bearing long tailed **** will return with all his like for like Clough apologist drivel...which after 35 games has been outgrown as a valid argument, so, I posit:

Did Clough cost us automatic promotion?
