    George Thorne

Struck me today that George Thorne has provided a consolidated version of Hughes and Eustace - he does a lot of the 'tidying up' role that Eustace provided at the same time as contributing the incision that Hughes has given us for the last season and a half. Having Thorne in the team means that Hendrick and Bryson are suddenly free to attack.

To me Buxton , Martin and Thorne are the key to our recent success whereas i might have guessed that Keogh , Bryson and Hughes would be the key players - hope Steve might give all three a rest in the dead rubber at Elland Rd.

yeah you're right. and so was angry we managed to found someone as good at breaking things up as Eustace with the passing ability of hughes. thorne's a great player.

maybe a tad harsh on Bryson, one of the reason martin is so good is their link up play together.

as for Keogh as I've said since he came (!) we can definitely improve there. I don't think he'd been in particularly good form for a while. he's decent at this level that's about it imo. we could do worse to be fair.

Thorne is a real class act. It is just a shame that I don't think (unless we are promoted) we will have the pleasure of seeing him play in a Derby shirt next year. Really hope I am wrong but I just can't see him being overlooked by Premier League sides, especially teams that have gone up and are looking to strengthen, or by West Brom themselves after his displays this season.
