    IF...

If we beat Leeds we will have the same amount of points that Cardiff won the league with last season, just shows how strong Leicester and Burnley have been this season!

Also, McClaren will have broken DCFC's all time points record over a season!

I don't think many would bet against it. We've been very good this year, we've been exceptional in our last 5 games, and we often do well against Leeds.

I'll say this too: No one wants to play us in the play-offs.

As I said in another site: "Thank God we don't have to play us!"

pretty sure you said it on this site...

it's very true though. the amount of points we have usually gets you 2nd automatic. I agree with what chris martin said though, it will essentially count for nothing if we don't win the play offs.

mac said we'll be resting players next week so that's a nice luxury to have. whoever finishes 6th will hopefully expend a lot of physical and mental energy doing so.

    re: IF...

I've supported Derby my whole life and as I'm in my early 50's I think I've been through a lot as a fan. I have therefore become a bit of a football pessimist and think whoever we get in the play-offs, we'll mess it up and over the two legs miss out on the final. My one consolation is the thought that I think Leicester did that previously against Watford and they have made a few minor changes and won the league weeks before the end of the season. Hope I'm wrong and we go up this year. Good luck and COYR's.
