You mean to say that you actually gave a damn who won a Scotch match? Or for that matter even knew who was playing each other in the Scotch leagues?Originally Posted by RamFromCornwall

As offensive as they are I cannot be bothered to vent any spleen against Leicester - they are not important enough
It's not as if I particularly cared, I just have always had a favouring for Rangers over Celtic. It's not like I'm gutted that Rangers got relegated to the bottom tier of Scottish football.
Why Bristol Rovers and why West Ham?
'Scotch' haha. They hate that. This is a great snippet from a gig Stewart Lee did in Glasgow. One of my favourite jokes of his. - view external link
Forest
Leeds
Celtic
Liverpool
Man Utd
Arsenal
Crystal Palace

Bristol Rovers - I went to school with a lot of their fans when they were in the second division (in old money). Hence a natural aversion but also I disliked their nickname of the Pirates or the Gas. Also hated their shirts. Hell why do I need to be rational!
West Ham - mainly because they were one of the top teams when we were trying to win the title in the early/mid 70's. Also a school enemy who had a huge acne issue, which we rather harshly nicknamed Pussman, was a great West Ham fan. Arent children cruel.
Also I could never understand why a team that played such dreadful football was always purred over as the academy of football - just because they had a couple of good players in the 1960's.
I know. Shame the link wont work for me though
But they play the West Ham way...which during my 30 odd years has been a pretty **** way. I was listening to a podcast and a west ham fan had said they haven't played the 'west ham way' since the 60's.Originally Posted by roger_ramjet
