Don't think I'd put a quid on it even if they were 100/1. Never bet against Derby and never plan to.Originally Posted by Sma11ytheRam

Now I know I've been criticised for betting against my own team before but:-
With these odds it will defiantly soften the blow if the worst happens. If we win or draw then I'll be going to Wembley and will be happy at losing my stake money.
As stated before I'm not a season ticket holder but for those who have half their season ticket money riding on Derby getting promoted might be worth a covering bet!
A?25 for A?100?!?!
Now should I do it and will anyone be joining me?

If i was convinced brighton were going to win id have no qualms betting against derby, but as it is anyone could win and im not going to bet simply to soften the blow.
Even bigger dilemma IF we get to the final
Put half your season ticket money on the other side
No lose situation, if derby win you get your money back if they lose, best part of your season ticket money back.
Wouldn't that defeat the whole point of buying a season ticket with the view to get half back. If you bet half the cost of a season ticket you'd just be paying full price anyway. May as well just not bet at all.Originally Posted by lewyman633
Agree with Cornwall on this thread. Could never bet against Derby and especially more so at the moment!
Had 3 bets last night, as we should all be confident with the finishing points difference between us and Brighton.
10 pounds each on 2-1 victory, Derby victory and Martin to score. 140 payback.
Let's think positive!
I was renewing my season ticket without the half money back anyway
Never said I'd back against derby. Never have never will
Just stating a fact for some of the gamblers
I bet quite often on football and backed us at 2/1 at Brighton then again at 7/1 when we went behind (pardon the pun).
I will now be backing us at 19/20 pretty much even money for the home leg. I think that's a decent price for us too.
I can see both sides of the argument here and guess its a heart and head situation.
Play safe and bet on the other game!!
A few weeks ago, my sister placed a bet that Leicester wouldn't lose another game all season. It was looking good. To hedge her bet, when it got to the last game she was going to bet on Doncaster winning (would have got excellent odds) so, a similar no lose situation. Sadly (!) they lost to Brighton before then though so she never won a thing. Serves her right for being a greedy Leicester fan.
Why are you betting on other team against us?![]()
