Why Wigan have no place in the top flight

Play offs are the biggest games of a season, the Premier League the biggest prize.

It took 46 long games to get through to get to this stage.

And then... Not enough Wigan fans give a **** enough to turn up to watch it.

The number of empty seats in the first leg tonight is actually embarrassing, total lack of an atmosphere.

With support as bad as this, I see no place for Wigan in the Premier League. They are a lower league club artificially elevated by their owners finances.

I went to watch West Brom v Wigan last season as we were in Birmingham for the weekend for a mates birthday and literally the amount of fans they brought was shocking. They had maybe half a block of seats cordoned off for them, and even that wasn't full up. Terrible support home & away.

Totally agree. And having watched that first half there is nothing at all to worry about playing either of these two. Derby and Brighton both better sides than these two. They both lack idea's.

Reading the Brighton forum before and after the game yesterday and the majority there say if they don't go up then we're their choice to go up. That's the same for me, if we get turned over at home and Brighton make the final, I'd much rather see them win than either of the two playing now.

Yh me too. Wigan are a **** club tbh, QPR have spent a fortune...(wage bill higher then dortmund and athletico!!) and there fans are annoying. Brighton although they have spent pretty heavily are a decent club in an awesome city, with plenty of fans.

Spot on Ramondo. They will probably win the playoffs though.
