Who Are Your Central Midfield Pairing For Wembley??

so after an stunning display from hughes and hendrick tonight, both scoring - couple with the fact that Bryson didn't have a great game at brighton...does brice come back into the side for Wembley or not?

a cracking problem to have. perhaps it will depend on our opponent? you'd think hendrick and Bryson would be better for a physical wigan side but if it's QPR who do we go with?

    real tough one.

Just posted on the "Bryson is out" thread about this. The gist of it being Hughes must play for me, as he dictates the pace of the game. We're at out best when Will's on song. Hendrick or Bryson, I don't know. So harsh on someone.

I'm glad I don't have to make this decision!

And what a wonderful dilemma it is to have. Is any combination a bad one though? I was worried about Bryson being out today but it didn't matter in the end.

Having said that, if Bryson is fully fit then I'd put him in and then it's between Hendrick and Hughes for me. The reason being is that he's the stronger physically, Brighton were a little lack lustre today, Wigan or QPR won't be and I just think Bryson would fair better than Hughes, we'd still have the option of bringing him on if it suited.

    But I could be wrong.

Bryson would be my first player on the sheet. Just toss a coin between Hendrick and Hughes as they both bring something different to the table. I think Hughes is more skilful on the ball but Hendrick is more of a threat going forward and always a threat scoring more goals. In a nutshell I'd have no idea who to call between the two!!!

What worries me about Hughes is the way he is targeted by the opposition because they know he's such a threat.
I'm surprised he hasn't had a bad injury this season. His ankles must be sore after yesterday!
Not a reason not to start him of course but if he's taken out early then what?
Oh I'm glad I don't have to decide!!

    Duo? Don't you mean trio???

    Hughes -- Thorne -- Hendrick

They were immense yesterday, complimented each other perfectly, and EACH weighed in with a goal.

No dilemna, same trio starting, and bring Bryson as an impact sub on if one of Hughes or Hendrick plays poorly / gets injured.

Thorne is a guaranteed starter there's no point even discussing.

You need to look at the opposition.

Brighton are more open in their play Hughes would have more time. He struggles against the likes of QPR and Wigan. It was the same with Barnes would seemingly dazzle one week and not the next. Just had to simply look at the opposition. That's what tactics are for ...
