must be nice to blot out 35 years just like that. I'd be the same if we where that pitiful for such a very long. I'd probably pretend it didn't happen now.Originally Posted by blackburnturfite

Now hows things going in the 21st century?
Will there be a facility to pull this thread up in 35 years champs, could make interesting reading!

thank your lucky stars t'interweb wasn't around in the 90's eh? As my guess is, you would not have been as brave back then. Unless you really wanted to discuss the finer points of Roger Eli and the life in the old Division 4.
Don't worry though, the internet will still be around in 12 months to see us swap places. You can come back then.
you can say what you want dingles does not matter how long ago it still says blackburn rovers on the trophy
I wouldn't have given a hoot in the 90's to be honest champs, We'd not crossed swords much around those years and I'm from gods county so much preferred banter with Leeds and Bradfud.
As for Eli and the 4th division days, I can tell you that those were the best days of my life following the Clarets, you should try it!
I will take the premier league for now (mainly for the financial stability) but you know as well as I, you can't beat proper footy grounds with proper footy fans... that's not found in the top flight of English football.

I have split aligencies. I have been all over the country watching the Mighty Bury FC so understand your love of 'proper' football. Lower league football now, reminds me of the reasons why I fell in love with football.
You an old ground down in div3 or 4, most likely I will've been on, usually in the rain, usually watching Bury lose (with the odd expeption)

Champs, You don't drive a Navy Blue Ford C-max or similar with a Rovers sun screen on the back passenger window by any chance?
