Was this the worst season in Pompey's history?

I know, I ask this question every season! However, the facts back it up this time. 13th in Division 4 is the lowest we've ever finished in our history. (The previous lowest being 7th which ironically would have got us into the play-offs in the modern era)

Still, whilst most of this season was utter garbage we do have some legit hope for next season. Some of the away days were a good laugh too, even if the football was terrible.

So, for me, this season was poor but still doesn't trump last season in terms of sheer awfulness.

We were awful until the board took the long overdue decision to get rid of Barker. Adder told me before the Burton game that we would be okay, no worries. We drew 0.0, lost the next 3 games and he was gone. If Barker had stayed for me we would be "looking forward" to visiting the likes of Forest Green (not far from where I come from originally), Eastleigh and Salisbury. Really fancy us next season, till then I intend to enjoy the summer and see what happens

Last season we were all over the place, U/S most of the time and actually got relegated, and it was awful after last season, this season, after being terrible for most of it we finished in a really good & positive manner with optimism for the future so I reckon it was better than last season.
