Josh Law (24) has put pen to paper on a 1 year deal. McCall says "He's a similar type of player to his brother in that he's a midfielder who likes to get on the ball and create."

I wonder how long before he ends up at "The Rangers"![]()

If he is as good as his brother then he will be a good signing. I think we really missed Nicky Law as a guy who could take a ball, move with a bit of pace and then find a team mate. His goals were also useful.
Yes, good luck to him. Hope he does the business for us.
Mention on M'well website "We've had Josh up for training several times last season to look at him and we think he'lll really add something to the squad" yet we offer only a ONE year deal. Therefore, possibility of walking end of season. I'm fully aware of financial restriction on the club and must be prudent but surely we must take a risk and capitalise on a potential transfer fee.
We missed an opportunity with Higganbotham and retained McFadden 2013/14 when the player we ignored kept Partick Thistle in SPL and now has a transfer value. Our choice was to pay high weekly salary to a player who was often absent thru injury and now discarded .. did we not see that coming and think correct decision taken a year too late.
We're not even a selling club but one that nurtures players and releases FREE end of every season.
So we are in financial dire straits and we are still signing players? A creative midfielder, thought we had viguirs and there's leitch starting to come through. I would suggest we need to be looking at getting rid of the dead wood first. Balance the books. We can no longer hold on to passengers. I would also suggest that we play a full strength team against lower league opposition in the scottish cup this season as we might get past the first hurdle therefore make more revenue. Just a thought!
Shame he is only on a one year deal. No resale value!
Welcome on board Josh.
Do you know something we don't? How do you know what length of deal he was offered? Its quite possible that we wanted him to sign on for 2 years but he'd only agree to one. A contract involves 2 parties not just one. Its also possible that we thought he might be a gamble. I trust the club on this.Originally Posted by dasdeid
Whilst I'm pleased to have him on board I'm a bit puzzled as to where he'll fit in. That said if he has some pace and can play in central midfield he's welcome. Who will make way for him? Interesting times.
Given we've yanked the guy from non-league football aged 24 I think the chance is greater we'll want to punt him next summer than he'll want to leave us.
No doubt the same people lamenting this one-year deal are those demanding we somehow get rid of Paul Lawson too![]()
Since the guy is 24 and has been 'plucked' from the conference, I can't see what all the excitement is about.
If he was that good, he'd have been playing in leagues 1 or 2 by now.
