Yesterday proved the FA to be total idiots in rebuilding our national stadium in such a dump area. After spending a nightmare coach journey down the M1 the coach had to maneuver round the housing estates and waste ground. Then to top the lot some plonker had decided that the QPR coach park (of which their was no coaches) should be the 1st coach park you come to and the Rams park all the way round the stadium taking another 20 minutes. Just got to our seats as the teams came out. What a crap place to build a ground typical London bias
First ever visit then?
If we are there next season, park at H Wycombe or Beaconsfield and catch the train in...dead easy to get in and out. You can be on the M40 within 40 mins of the match ending.
No 5th actually including the old Wembly where it was obviuos it was in the wrong place. Problem was before I have always been by train. Incidently gave up yesterday after getting back to the coach to find they would not be let out till at least 6 o'clock and then only allowed back onto the M1. Gave up and came back by train.Originally Posted by RAMAWAY
Completely agree. What a ****in f****. Found out I couldn't take beer on the coach, but consoled myself that I could haveu a few at the Green Man and enjoy the atmos. by 2:40 I was walking up Wembley way, grotty and in a foul mood after a horrible journey. No chance of a beer in the ground, so drank some warm water in the loo's before taking my seat. Wasn't until the 2nd half that I felt part ofOriginally Posted by ramspride
had no problem, drove down, set of 08.30. arrived wembley 11:00
left 17:30 home for 8. maybe it was the bus companies who got it wrong.
Likewise Metropolitan Line from Uxbridge/Hillingdon etc or Amersham etc.
Full of QPR fans though!
M40 was a breeze yesterday despite several accidents.
it was bedlam trying to get out of the coach park it took 2 hours to get out of it with coaches trying to get in front of each other
and 4 90 for a pint what a rip off the pace is
it was my first visit since the aggro italian final
i doubt if i,ll go again![]()
I find it ironic that someone from Derby can call anywhere in London 'a dump'.
I don't.Originally Posted by StanleyMatthewsOverr

Every time I go there I think the same thing... "What a **** hole'.
And I even lived there for 18 months. Never again.
