If there was 50m in the transfer kitty and the promise you'd keep your best players then I reckon Potty would have stayed. Redknapp left us for Spurs when he realised what was going to happen, Potty has followed suit (although for the sake of stating the obvious for Fiddley, I'll point out that you will obviously not fall into financial meltdown like we did)!!

He was always going to leave after the departure of Nic Cortese, his motives may be as you say, maybe not.

If the motives of the board are maintaining the long term stability of SFC and good financial control, then they have my full support.
