I don't understand people not rating him, I think he's very good at this level. I remember him being very good for Coventry, and I remember him scoring a very good brace vs. us too; his quality was the only difference that day.

He can score, head and hold up the ball, meaning he can be either cover for Martin or his striker partner.

Whoever signs him is getting a very good championship striker.

we got lucky last season with Martin not picking up any injuries and against Millwall when he was suspended it showed how much we missed him and also how Sammon really is not good enough to play that role...Jutkiewicz is a more than capable replacement

Martin was hardly on good goal scoring form before joining us with only one real decent scoring season for him but in the right system it absolutely worked for him. Luke Juke is a similar sort of player so it could easily work for him too, but A£1m for a back up? I'm not too sure.

we alrady have a 1m backup in Sammon who isn't all that good...sell him and recoup some money and then spend 1m on a back up (if we dont change formation) who actually could come on and make a difference.

He wasn't brought in as a back-up though, it just hasn't worked with him, he was originally intended to start games for us which is what he did until Martin arrived.

Doesn't change the fact that he is now a 1m backup...sell him for 700k (if we're lucky) and then the Juke has cost us 300k. There is nothing to say that he is coming as

I was thinking the exact same thing. Let's wait and see if we sign him and then give him a couple of months! Perhaps then we can write him off.

Not necessarily, we have lost Bamford and Sammon has no long term future so we need a striker.
