Brett Wilson - "so if Thorne simply isn't for sale - you suggest we just shut the club down?"

If he has said this, what the heck is this all about? A rather stupid comment to make!

The people who read it wrong, then there would be no issue. People are making out it says something it doesn't.

    Cheers
old timer, I believe the people in the know advised that they expected the deal to be announced either this week or early next week and to remain patient. therefore as I see it, until mid next week why would anyone need an update?

this is not a dig at you but I don't understand why people are going on about this deal on a daily basis. everyone just sit tight FFS.

Would have been nice to have signed him but if the offer is unacceptable then so be it. We tried but we failed and it's now turning into a saga, lets forget it and move on.

Why the rush? If canny negotiating gets the player we want then fair enough and we are doing other deals at the same time!

I think Swale makes an excellent point. We are not involved or can influence transfer dealings in any way, but after the brilliant season we have just enjoyed, i trust the club to sign the players we need to improve the team, so we should sit back and relax. Also i trust the info from SDSR, and would expect the Thorne deal to go through. Very impressed with the Bryson signing 16 goals and 13 assists ? Most important business so far.
    UTR.
While i'm on and not lurking, would also like to say how much i enjoy reading the player ratings from DD. ! Keep up the good work.

Like I said before, the fee is the issue. If we match West Brom's asking price he is ours, but at the moment we are not prepared to pay what they want, which seems to be 2.5 million.
