    Mancienne to Florist

    Reportedly 1m deal.

Not a bad signing. Had bags of potential a few years ago. Not really sure how he's done in Churmany?

49 appearances in 3 years. He's not being playing much, but it is a higher level of football than the championship, so I'm sure he'll be a good defender at this level.

I saw a mini bbc documentary on him years ago, and he came across well, and seemed very mature, as a kid living in a foreign country.

A player who was thought to have a big future when younger, but then he has just faded away.

It is a strange one. He was called up to the England squad for a friendly some years ago, and then he just vanished. Been mostly sat on the bench at hamburg according to a friend of mine from germany.

Obviously these things are a gamble.
Folks forget he stuck with Chelsea for 5 years, going out on loan trying to force his way in.

In the end he cut his losses(lesson for Bamford here) and moved.
Big plus for him, is he's one of SP's babes.
I think he'll surprise everyone in this league.
I might sound ****y, but I believe if we can get everyone fit, we may actually have the best back 4 in this league.

Mancienne, Lihaj,Hobbs, Wilson,Lascelles, Fox, Cohen. Take your pick. I won't even include Collins or Halford.

You missed Laing and Harding from your list.

But the potential is clearly there with Lascelles. I'm bias towards him as he's a friend of mine, but it isn't coincidence big clubs have been sniffing round him. He's a physical specimen.

Lascelles will be the real deal. Definitely. He needs to be looking at forcing his way into the 2018 ENgland team because if by that stage he is not better than Jagielka, I'll eat my hat.

To get there he will need to be playing next to a good player though to learn from. At the minute he's looked great next to Hobbs but both of these players have looked poor next to Collins. Mainly because COllins is **** but neither are yet at a level where they can persistently bail out a **** player.

Both will develop but the time Lascelles has combined with his already strong attributes means

my point being...him and fox didn't look to be one half of what you'd consider 'the best in the league'.
