this is no joke, that big girl up front for brighton apparently is worth 7m. is there anyone out there that thinks he's a better player than chris martin? how much must martin be worth?! - view external link

It just shows what a premium strikers can attract but it does seem ludicrous in the same vein as A£11 million for McCormack!

Depends how it's looked at Triz. The market is going mad. Obviously FFP doesn't bother everyone. Great for the selling clubs, not so good if you have to buy. You may have got Thorne for a million or less 12 months ago.

no doubt we would, but markets aside he has upped his price by a mill himself with his performances at the end of last season.

It begs the question what is our team actually worth.
Martin is younger (and in my opinion better) than Ulloa - could we get 7 million for him?
Makes the Thorne deal look like daylight robbery.
