    Analysis

    From a disappointing world cup
    Hart. Ok
    Foster. OK
    Johnson. Not good enough
    Jones. Defo not good enough
Cahill. OK (the best we've got)
    Jagielka. not good enough
    Smalling. worrying
    Baines. didn't attack enough
Shaw. very promising, good game last night
    Lampard. Retire
    Gerrard. Retire
Lalanna. decent game last night, shouldn't have been substituted
Stirling. good opening game, then performance dropped
    Milner. workhorse only
    Henderson. not good enough
    Wilshire. always falling over
Barkley. overated at the moment, may come good
Wellbeck. good tackler, but doesn't score enough
Sturridge. needs 10 chances to score
Lambert. too old to make an impact (apart from against crap teams)
Rooney. assured of his place in the starting line up of any important game...why?
The Ox. why did we take an injured player?
Forster. He seems to have come away with a better reputation than the rest of them

Hodgeson. work required, please don't tempt Gerrard out of retirement, when he and Rooney came on last n

It's hard to disagree.. the sad thing is we've played a lot worse eh, just didn't click for us and no disrespect to roy but surely his job shouldn't be assured after this? no wins and only 2 goals scored ffs.

Definitely think it's time for Lampard and Gerrard to retire.

Gutted as spent 40 quid on a kit for my 6 yr old who's proper football mad and it had a sticker for a badge ffs tempted to take it back now we're out

A sticker for an England badge after shelling out 40 quid.

Look at the teams doing well. No big players no flash tricks. They are teams that pull together as a unit. Costa Rica don't have a single player that would make it in the prem but done us.

Football has moved on and we as fans of English football are to blame for the national side being left behind. Managers like Jose and AVB get slated for not playing fast exciting football but that what works outside of England and is being show at the World Cup. We don't need big star players we need players that are a team. Unfortunately it won't ever happen as the prem makes money of big flashy football.

Only sterling in my eyes had come out of this with any credibility

Question is, where do England go from here?

I don't see any hope on the horizon.

The squad sent to the World Cup won't get any better.

And I honestly don't see much promising talent coming up through the ranks.

    The future is bleak.

Is England's semi-glory days of moderately-successful international competition over?

    Very possibly.

Bayern Munich supplied 7 players who won the world cup
    Neuer
    Boatang
    Gotze
    Lahm
    Muller
    Schweinsteiger
    Kroos

Liverpool supplied 6 players who underperformed for England
    Sterling
    Gerrard
    Henderson
    Johnson
    Sturridge
    Lambert

    7 if you include Lallana

It doesn't look good for English football's future does it?

A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.

The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt,
in keeping with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her.

When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the England Football tea
