Spot on Coxy but the silence and spin seems to have many convinced things are moving forward ... when they are not.

One main signing and that is of a player who was here at the end of last season. A number of development team players and then all the fuss made over resigning a number of cloughs players. Its possibly the slowest summer we have had in many years.

Peaople have moaned about spin from Glick which there wasnt if you took the time to listen to what was said but this lot now have pulled the wool over people eyes and they cant see the wodd for the tree's.

the team is significantly weaker than when we ended last seas

swaledale - do you know anything about the 'forward' players we are interested in? Does this include Mackay-Smith? or are we looking for a more out and out centre forward?

Rattea - the team that beat fellow promotion rivals Brighton 4-1 in the play off semi final.

01 Grant
33 Wisdom
03 Forsyth
34 Thorne
06 Keogh
25 Buxton
08 Hendrick
19 Hughes
09 Martin
11 Russell
10 Ward
Substitutes
12 Naylor
14 Eustace
18 Sammon
26 Legzdins
27 Whitbread
32 Dawkins
35 Bamford

GONE: Wisdom (Christie - highly rated, played at this level, talk of another RB as well)

Legzdins (sub) (Roos - highly rated, signed in Jan to give him time to step up)

Bamford (sub) (looking at wide attackers, Dawkins, Russell, Ward all vying for those 2 positions already much like last year).

SIGNED: Calero (Spain U19s captain), Santos (BR fans rate him highly), Bunjaku (Arsenal, Sevilla), Mitchell (ex-Newcastle keeper here to learn trade)

SIGNIFICANTLY weaker?

the team is significantly weaker than when we ended last season so when is there going to be any movement to improve these.
How and in what way is the team significantly weaker? Be interested your views on the point, which at the moment are not substantiated in any way.

The only thing significantly weaker at this stage appears to be the Rat's brain. early onset senility perhaps?

Well they aren't, but never mind. McClaren has hardly seen anything of Christie. It's a gamble we're looking to cover.
So we have signed a player we haven't scouted? You may not know anything about him but i can assure you the coaching and recruitment team do and equally he is first choice right back at the moment.

But If you know better we will just have to wait and see when the season begins won't we?

On the subject of signings, those allegedly made for the development squad are the same age experience of soem first team members and of loanees who were first team regulars last season. Sp they will be in and around t

there is genuine interest in Mackey Smith, he is a good wide player and Russell could fill in as a striker. Unlikely to spend on two players though.
