Fawaz cousin I believe. He does have a percentage interest in the club.
Fawaz still in Kuwait on business. Be nice to hear something before the season starts.

To us Es***? Absolutely zero quid. We do not own the land, only the buildings. One without the other is worth diddly squat.

That's why I want a shiny new stadium at Eastcroft. Closer to town, rail, bus links and more boozers.

If Ray Trew wanted to block out "that horrible view" before, he'd have a job from there.

Can our owners afford to buy and build a new stadium?, i'm not sure, how much would it cost 130 million plus ? I can't see it.

Es***, with a new stadium, we would get help from the council if they will co operate. However, the council doesn't actually want the City Ground land to be redeveloped, so it's a stalemate.

    Options are.

    1. Just a main stand rebuild-status quo unchanged
    2. A new site completely, forget the council but funds would have to be self raised. This is what I believe Fawaz is up to. The new stadium would offer everything, bring everything on one site and be the required 45 000 capacity to satisfy FIFA for a world cup match.
Money, though is the key. How much involvement would the Kuwaiti's want? At least it would be owned lock stock barrel and be an asset.
    3. the Council gives in, sells us the CG land and we develop in stages. Size of the site limits what you can do though.

    Take your pic.

Have a look at the m

It's an acceptable. Kuwait City is their capital and City Ground is our, so both parties can have a link to the new.

It's no big deal about a change, our ground's was to reflect the new status of Nottingham as a city, hence City Ground.

City Ground was chosen to reflect the new city. 116 years later, it's relevance as a new city is surely over. Anyway sponsors is nothing, even for prestigious events and places. The Australian Open was known as the Ford Aussie Open and now the Kia OZZie Open. The same for certain grounds around the world, the Emirates, the Ettihad etc. Ev

Just out of interest, if you had a new 45,000 capacity stadium and made it to the Premiership, what do you think your average attendance would be?

Agreed. I don't understand all this crying over a. What if Fawaz moves us? Would the same nostalgics want that stadium renamed the CG? Or would they protest about the move?

Football is a business, move with the times or die.
    Darwins theory applies.
