Be fair to Bueno, it wasn't so much winter. More to do with the fact that Bailey was injured, so we had nobody to collect the ball from the defence and give it to him. Then Commons went and we resorted to hoofball.

Seriously - have I started accidentally following the wrong club? Derby just don't replace injured players with Real Madrid squad members!

Obviously Sam Rush hasn't read the rule book about Derby entitled 'It's always darkest just before it's pitch black!'

The sense that we are a club on the move is stronger than ever for me right now - COYR!!!!!

True. I also recall one game away (Ipswich I think) where he got kicked a lot and he seemed to lose interest.

We have depth now. Happy days

Also followed on twitter by Steve Nicholson!!

On a positive note it will mean 2 spanish players now, hopefully they can help each other settle a bit quicker.

I also think Calero can make a big impact this season.

Yeah, he fell victim to a Clough 'back to basic' period and got harshly left out IMO . Let's hope these young Spaniards settle in quickly and adapt to the Championship. We could be very easy on the eye this year

Mascarell is a holding midfielder, a controller in front of the back 4, with a good range of passing and highly rated

Fantastic news. He's actually played from Real Madrid's first team so that shows how good he is, or how highly rated he is to actually make a senior appearance.

It works perfect for us too. If he's in Thorne's position then we have Mascarell to start and Eustace as cover again. Thorne comes back towards end of season and we don't need to rush him in and risk his fitness, we also have competition should this lad impress. Then come the end of the season, being a Real Madrid player, I don't think he's going to go to the Spanish paper Marca saying how much he wants to leave for us.

We get a good, young player for the season, ready for our own good, young player to be reintroduced once he has recovered from his injury.

    Happy days

So pleased with the way Mac/Rush/Evans are conducting business. Derby feels like a club with a purpose once again and everyone is pulling together in the same direction to achieve it. Very happy days!

I've been told there's nothing in the other player, and that his medical is tomorrow. The "Spanish journo" has since posted the same.

Obviously never seen him, but seems very ambitious
