Thread: Christie

    Christie

Another very accomplished performance from young Cyrus.

At times he did remind me of Wisdom albeit he is a better attacking footballer.

Made some good tackles today as well.

This game had banana skin written all over it which is why Sky chose to cover it.

Some good passages of play throughout the game without ever really getting in to top gear.

    Thought Whitbread played well too.

Christie, Hughes and Forsyth stood out for me. Rest of them don't seem match sharp, especially Dawkins, Russell and Ward.

Best looks a good player too, but I am not keen about the way he seems to mouth off at his team mates.

I agree...but he's still learning the culture and that tendency will fizzle out I'm sure.

    re: Christie

I don't have Sky Sports so I planned on watching the game on my laptop. However obviously with luck being how it is, my laptop decided to stop working at 6.30 this evening, and after scowling various pages on my phone to try and find a solution, I managed to get it working 10 minutes after kick off so missed the whole game. I watched the highlights on Sky Sports and Christie was involved in all of our shown chances.

He does look more than capable of replacing Wisdom, and looks exactly the same as him in terms of build etc. Looks a steal at around 100k which is the reported compensation fee.

    re: Christie

Thought Christie looked lively in a game that suited him.

Good overall performance, especially pleased to see Martin get his first goal. Second clean sheet too.

2 wins out of 2, 2 clean sheets. Almost a perfect start, if we'd scored more and looked more convincing in front of goal.

But we're still making harder work of it than we should do. I really hope we find another gear in the final third sometime soon.

Agree with Christie playing well but thought Dawkins looked sharp and played well and was involved in most of our good play . . And definitely better than Saturday when he held on to the ball for too long. Happy with the result

Agree Ramondo. I think the goals will come when Bryson hits top fitness level and starts to time his late bursts a bit better. Just in time for the away game at Red Dogs.

Thought Christie looked our best player...with Bryson ever on the move

Dawkins was poor first half in my opinion.he came out second half looking to have more pace and energy etc than first half...he went off circa 20 minutes later.
Seems like he was told at half time...
