    I know exactly how much we paid them to be stuck with him all season but I'm not going to say because everyone on here is a weirdo...

    Best for both parties this.

    But he hasn't been as bad as some make out, but quite simply no where near good enough to help get us promoted. He's got noble attributes but can't honestly recall a less ruthless striker for Derby.

    Ashley Ward wasn't blessed with great technique but he had a knack of scoring ugly important goals. He had positional sense. Sammon has very little.

    Favourite Sammon moments:

    1) Well taken goal on his debut at PP (who was that against?)

    2) Brace against Brum

    3) His fantastic energy against Leicester in the home win two seasons ago.

    4) The Sammon toe poke against Watford

    5) The looping shin Sammon special against Boro.

    If we had paid a couple of hundred grand for him then maybe he would have had less stick.
