The goals seem to have dried up

Didn't go today but I am starting to get a bit worried that we do not seem to be creating and putting away many chances.

Early days I know, but I think we need to start finding the net soon if we are going to challenge for promotion this season.

One game that we haven't scored and your worrying lol we've scored 3 in 3 and kept 3 clean sheets, I'm not too dissapointed given the fact it's still VERY early in the season yet. it's a marathon not a sprint. Plenty of games to play, plenty of opportunities to score goals

Forgetting the Carlisle game we have only scored 1 in 2 games.

    Paranoia setting in!!!!

It's not only paranoia, it's inaccurate. We did create chances today, which another day will go in. Both Hendrick and Russell missed two good chances.

With respect, you are drawing conclusions when you haven't seen the evidence yourself to base them on!

Why not look at the positives - the defence which everyone has been so quick to criticise has not conceded for 3 games.

As I said, I was not there today so I am only going on the stats from the BBC. If we are creating chances that is good, but we still need to convert them to goals though

In that case SWFC have a lot more to worry about than us. They had 21 shots today with 7 on target.

re: The goals seem to have dried up

There were spells last season where Derby weren't scoring - we had a four match lean spell before hammering Forest! 5-0!

The key thing is whether the goals have dried up or whether the team just haven't hit the fluid play of last season yet. It's probably due to numerous factors, losing George Thorne has undoubtedly upset the balance to a degree but teams have got wise to Derby's approach and are playing to nullify our strengths (possibly at the detriment to their own strengths)

Coupled with this is the fact we've played a Rotherham team with a gameplan and lots of energy for their their return to this league and a nasty away tie at a potential giant killer (look at them last season) in terrible weather . We won both. Today we ware playing a Wednesday who were similar to last season - there only a worldly from Bamford separated us!

Our next fixture is also away - that's 3 out of the first 4 which isn't going to show Derby at their best as they readjust to personnel change etc.

Not half as worried as last season.

Took us about 10 games to accumulate 21 shots on goal last season.

Would say they had more chances but ours were better. We should have scored today.
    No need to panic yet.

By the way how big was their striker? A real handful.
They won't lose many this season at Hillsborough, thought they are starting to look like a good side.
