Tin hat firmly on. Sorry lads, but there was plenty of ball on the floor and more than enough chances created to score.

We did not play badly today. We lacked a little creativity in the final third, but were extremely hard done by to lose that game.

If Noble scores the penalty we get no worse than a draw, and probably win for me.

It was a tough break, but still some positives to be taken from the game.

Creswell and Kouyoti looked impressive as did Valencia when he came on. Downing had a good first half and came closing to scoring off of a good run in the second half. Adrian looked solid, and Cole ran his socks off.

We played ok for 60 odd minutes, then Samantha indicated his intentions, imo, and spuddies began to rise.

I think the thing that effs most of us off is the fact that he doesnt or cant take a game by the balls, instead hell cower in the corner and hang on.

Like Jimmy pointed out, and myself earlier, whats the po

Evening all, having just got back from the game I must say I agree with Flairons summing up of the match.
I was pleased with the way we played,we kept it down ,passed it out and used the width of the pitch,Downing had a good game,Cresswell looked solid,Ginge was unbeatable in the air and to his credit he only punted upfield once, pity he fu(ked it all up by being sent off,I will forgive Noble his penalty miss,I can't remember the last one...apart from the result we played well, the lad Valencia caused trouble from the minute he came on,same old story though with putting the ball away,
We were every bit as good as the spuds so onwards and upwards

Not long back and pretty much agree with this Stevo

Kouyate man of the match for me - looks a great signing. Downing and Cresswell both had good games.

Some of the points made on this thread do make me laugh.

O Brien went off because he was injured not because Allardyce wanted to bring a

I was at the game myself. I didn't see any great change in style and most importantly entertainment. I was bored! The game changed when web had Diame, Demel and Valencia on as they were attacking Tottenham an turning them around. Even when they were down to ten we still played hopeless balls in to an isolated Carlton Cole who as no chance all on his own. Same old tired methods. No inspiration. Nolan is not capable anmymore, not his fault he is picked, Allardyce should not pick him simple.
