    Russians and the National Football Museum

    Some of you may remember my post about 18 months ago relating to how good the national football museum is in Manchester and how you must try and pay it a visit.
    You may also remember my side comment that it was spoilt somewhat by a group of arrogant Russians with a distinct lack of manners and citizenship.

    Triz and one or two others took this as blatant racism and a xenophobic defermation of a nation, feeling the need defend the motherland of Russia and to take the level of discusion to new depths.

    Some 12/18 months on and after the annexation/theft of the Crimea from Ukraine by Russia and the downing of a civilian aircraft by "pro Russian" seperatists armed with Russian rockets, along with Putins onwards surge into Eastern Europe, am I reasonably justified in my earlier conclusion that a proportion of Russians may have issues with "self"?!!!

    I think their point was...putin may be the Russian president but it doesn't mean all Russian's are like him or the separatists.

    I didn't take your comments as offensive as I don't read the guardian :-P
