    Calm down everyone

    3 games in.
Expectation for the season is huge based upon last year.
    Faith in Steve wavering.
    Pressure on players massive.
    Forest top of the league.

All of these have combined to form a crisis according to some.

We will get through this starting with a good win on sat.
Steve is strong enough of a manager to pick his best side. Just think he was giving everyone a chance from last year to repeat their form.
Keogh maybe struggling and so should be replaced by Whitbread.
Hughes not suitable for holding role and will be replaced. Hughes might spend time on the bench or be included in the team instead of Jeff or Craig. Steve will make right decision.

Loans in might change something and put pressure on squad.

Dawkins not good enough to start.

Russell to be given a chance up top (maybe as sub) not played out wide where he is not in front of goal. Best likewise.

All the promising young talent bought in pre-season to be given a chance ahead of predictable candidates like ward, dawkins, n

1 win 1 draw 1 loss from the first three isnt so bad. It needs to improve yes, but it's not a bad start with 2 away games 1 home. The only thing that worries me is the slow tempo and seeming lack of fitness throughout the team. We have started the campaign the same way as we played under Clough rather than how we had been playing under McClaren, and that is a bit of a worry.

I am sure things will click into place on Saturday.

I think its better to start slow and then build up momentum, after didn't Blackpool win their first 5 games last season?

Once the Real madrid lad is fit and accllimatised to the championship I'm sure he will start.

Bryson is off the pace at the moment as are other players which gives McClaren a headache as its not ideal to keep swapping players about and at this stage of the season you have to give a player a run of games to see if they settle in.

The fact that we were interested in Shotton shows (as one would expect) the coaching staff are well aware of the need for defensive cover its just a question of finding the right quality at a price we can afford.

It's good to see that there are some people on here with some common sense!
Let's wait until we have played at least 10 games before making too many judgements.

If we are still stuttering come the end of October I might be more concerned but I've heard there will be a couple of acquisitions before the end of August.

Anyone still complaining now? Is 5-1 enough to justify that you have what it takes?

Very few doubted our chances of challenging, we were just confused as to why our style of play which served us so well last season had vanished.

And 5-1 or not, there's a reason why Fulham have lost four out of four. Look at their squad, a lot of youngsters and unheard of players there, I'm not quite sure what's gone wrong there. I don't expect Magath will get too much longer.
