A petition and a letter are different things.

I think posting a letter on here before sending it would make it less likely to get a response.

I think that publicly posting a reply to a letter that was addressed to me and only me is just disrespectful and rude.

I think it'd get a lot of signatures if it was worded correctly (and calmly) and was just asking for answers.

Get the signatures before a match, at half time etc... Then hand it to him personally during the second half.

Not so sure Bowler opens his own E Mail don't forget he has family in the office do EVERYTHING for him, so it MAY be them deleting it before he even sees it> just a thought!!

Hi Mike,

I share a lot of your feelings on this one and am increasingly frustrated by the club's failure to come clean on what's going on. TBH, even if you put together an email worthy of an answer from the Prime Minister, I don't believe you'd get a straight answer from the board.

My own opinion is that if callers to Radio Stoke can't get them to start asking pertinent questions about why our finances are so bad the national media e.g. callers to 606 on Radio 5 might be a way forward.

I won't hold my breathe though. I think it was Jules Hornbrook who once wrote about talking to John Bowler about the club's finances a while ago (and sorry Jules if it wasn't you). Basically, after a long discussion which seemed informative at the time, looking back he realised that Mr. Bowler hadn't actually said anything of substance so he was none the wiser.

So... Ask for answers to a specific question in the least loaded way possible rather than anyone's head on a plate.

Organise a banner, some sort of Twitter thing (like a hashtag), present a few thousand signatures collected from around the ground during the game in front of everyone and finally get it all over P&G - so the question that you ask to be answered has to be suitably vague. I think my suggested wording would probably pass.

I thought my first effort was calm and rational and addressed most of the issues and haven't called for anyone's head? Suitably clear you mean, not suitably vague. That's asking for a non reply.

To be honest, I think the results will pile more pressure on the board and boos by the crowd, than any individual email. It will still be sent though!
